In collaboration with RayBan, Facebook has launched its first smart glass called “Ray-Ban Stories”. Ray-Ban glasses allow you to listen to music, make calls or take photos and short videos and share them with a companion app via the services of Facebook.

Smart glasses called Ray-Ban Stories have been launched in 20 different combinations. With the new smart glasses, users can take photos and videos, listen to music and make phone calls while on the move.

This smart glass is made in collaboration with Facebook and EssilorLuxottica. Ray-Ban Stories costs 299 USD (about 21,000 rupees). Available online in 20 style combinations and available at select retail stores in the US, Australia, Canada, Ireland, Italy and the United Kingdom. Facebook has not announced whether the data glasses will be launched in India. As a result, Indian users may have to wait a little longer to try smart glasses.

How Does Facebook Smart Glass Work?

The Ray-Ban Stories Smart Glass has a built-in 5 MP camera that allows users to take pictures and videos while on the go. As Facebook says on the blog, smart glasses enable users to capture the world as they see it. In addition to clicking pictures, users can also record up to 30 seconds of video with the record button or hands-free with Facebook Assistant voice commands. On the blog, the company said that every time you take a picture or video with your smart glasses, an LED light captures everything.

Ray-Ban Stories incorporates an audio array of speakers and three microphones to improve audio and audio transmission for calls and videos. The company has used beamforming technology in the data glasses, which overcomes the background noise during your call and improves the calling experience. Beamforming technology and background noise reduction algorithm ensures the superior calling experience you would expect from dedicated headphones.

Ray-Ban Stories can be integrated with the new Facebook View app, which allows users to share stories and memories with friends and social media followers. The Facebook View app is available for both iOS and Android. It makes it easy for people to import content captured on the smart glass, edit it, and share it in apps on your phone like Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger, Twitter, TikTok, Snapchat. Pictures and videos taken with data glasses can also be saved on your phone’s camera. The app has features like post-recording enhancements that allow you to create unique content to add a twist to your posts.

Ray-Ban Stories are available in 20 variants in the classic Ray-Ban styles — so you can choose the style that suits you.
